What stories would our kitchens have to tell about the life lived within them?

As I looked through these images I saw a theme of busy hands. Specifically, a mother's hands...

• combing her daughter's hair
• feeding hungry bellies with snacks
• preparing delicious pastries for the family she loves 
• washing dishes which keeps the home clean and inviting

In the kitchen there is dancing, hugs, &  laughter. So many teachable moments happen in the kitchen. So many memories made.   

Yes, in the kitchen work is done. Some days it's mundane work, it's not often glamourous. But, if we have eyes to see,  it is the good work of knowing we are providing not only physical nourishment, but also emotional nourishment for the souls God entrusted into our care.
